Quality control
It is well known that the cost of repairing a defect increases exponentially as the project "moves forward". The cost of finding a defect follows the same rule, with a little difference: it will depend also on how effective your techniques are to hunt for bugs in all stages of a Development Project.

You may be starting a new development project or planning how to deal with the maintenance of a recent released product. You would like to do a more formal review of your documentation and create an independent testing group, but resources are lacking and you are unable to assign developers for those tasks. You might be also looking for a different view of the current project status.

LIVEWARE can help you to plan in advance all the quality activities your organization needs to achieve a successful project, and put them into practice in all disciplines of your Software Development Life Cycle, until the project ends.

We use best practices based on the community and our 20 year experience in software development projects. We also use the CMM-I Process Areas as a framework.

As an example, we might perform in your project the following activities:

  • Definition of Quality standards for the project.
  • Formal Reviews of work products (Project Plan, Requirements' Specification, design specifications, Testing Plan, etc.)
  • Walkthroughs and inspections for verifying and validating work products.
  • Facilitate peer reviews of work products
  • Perform or facilitate Code Inspection
  • Independent Product verification and validation (Testing).
Some of these activities must be done on-site, but others could be done remotely from our branch office in Argentina. This would cut costs dramatically with the same level of service and expertise.

Metrics of all our activities are used to evaluate the status of the project in terms of quality.
